As the first annual reorganization of the almost one-year-old Dairy Policy Action Coalition (DPAC) approaches in November, the Coalition plans to keep its focus on market transparency, price discovery, simplified milk classes and support for a competitive pay price system that moves milk to its highest value use.

On supply management, DPAC continues to communicate with 14 other organizations that collectively paid for the "Volatility Analysis" of Drs. Mark Stephenson and Chuck Nicholson, which showed that the three primary programs on the table (Costa / Sanders; NMPF Foundation for the Future; and Agri-Mark's Marginal Milk Pricing) all reduce volatility, but none of the three programs have any real long range effect on cumulative production or price through 2018 compared with the baseline of "doing nothing."
